Artisan Chocolates Proudly Philippine Made

I’ve been coming across these artisan chocolates by THEO & PHILO through the blogs I skim through but never actually got a hold of them. Names like Dark Chocolate with Siling Labuyo or Dark Chocolate with Calamansi and what really got my attention, was Dark Chocolate with Green Mango & Sea Salt. I was salivating just reading them out loud. I immediately placed an order through ECHOStore and thank God they would deliver. Thank you Ms. Chit & Ms. Rowena. I ordered the following: One of each and the rest to share. =)

1. 70% Dark Chocolate (2) – my son’s favorite
2. Barako (2)
3. Labuyo (2)
4. Calamansi (2)
5. Green Mango & Salt (2)

My favorites are the Dark Chocolate with Calamansi & Green Mango & Salt. The Labuyo was good but a bit too spicy for me. I like spice but it was a bit too much for chocolate. I still have to try the Milk Chocolate and Pili & Pinipig. Heard that there is a new flavor.

I was eager to share my new discovery with my mom but she isn’t too adventurous with these themed named chocolates. I think she will stick to her Hershey’s Kisses and Valor Sugar Free stash. My son gobbles his share in a jiffy asking for more. He really loves Dark Chocolate. Just with everything else, consume in moderation. Enjoy and savor each bite. Simply indulge and once in a while, give in.

Let’s get KRACKEN! (The Eggs Are Out)

These days the symbol of an egg means so many things. First thing that comes to mind are the nameless and faceless people on Twitter that start of this way until they find the appropriate avatar or profile pic. Then they become the trolls or the annoying people who just like to bash other eggs. I know not to meddle with them. No face, no real name, you’re a are not a REAL person. You have no balls (then again, balls are weak and sensitive, according to Betty White) and stand up for what you believe in as many of the twitter advocates would cry out.

Then the health side of eggs and how they are good for you. They are. I like mine . . . Check this out from @echostore.

All the things you can do with eggs. Teehee. Don’t forget to visit @mymomfriday’s post about the infamous Before Ever After – Baked Eggs based on the novel of @samanthasotto. The recipe is there. It’s a recipe I must try soon!

Then came Easter Sunday. The Lord has risen! Alleluia. Mass at the club nd Easter lunch was with the del Rosarios at People’s Palace in Greenbelt. Don’t ask me which Greenbelt and how to get there. I just follow the crowd. Thai food baby. Hmm… my mom’s Pomelo Salad is better. I’ll post the recipe on Tales from the TUMmy site soon.

As if that was not enough, we had an impromptu potluck dinner in Alabang and had another feast. This time, those who couldn’t make it to lunch, made it to dinner. We had leftovers from lunch, bagnet, Chic-Boy, tokwa’t baboy, empanadas, ukoy, pinangat, and yummy desserts like banana bread and mango cheesecake of Chi. Stuffed til the next  century. Hahaha. It was nice to see the family even through FaceTime. Happy Easter everyone.
